Context Limit Reached
When using Ideation Chat, you may occasionally see a red alert notification stating "Context limit reached." This article explains what this means and how to manage it effectively.
What is the Context Limit?
Context items are reference materials that the Chat uses to provide data-backed responses. Context items include:
- YouTube videos
- YouTube channels
- Your Scripts
Each item added to the context provides the AI with specific information it can use to generate more accurate and relevant responses about your topic of interest.
What Causes the Context Limit Warning?
Ideation Chat has a strict limit of 5 context items at any given time. This helps the Chat to:
- Respond faster
- Respond more accurately
You will see the red "Context limit reached" warning notification if you have 5 context items in the chat, meaning you have reached your limit.
When you see this message, Subscribr will also prevent new context items from being added.
How to Manage the Context Limit
When you encounter the "Context limit reached" message, consider the following:
- Review your current context: Examine the items already in your context (visible as colored chips/tags in the interface)
- Remove less relevant items: Click the X button on any context item you no longer need for your current analysis
- Prioritize important content: Keep only the most relevant videos/channels/scripts for your current analysis (this will also speed up Subscribr's responses)
