Choosing Your Draft Writing Model
Subscribr now offers three powerful AI models to generate your YouTube scripts, giving you more choice and flexibility in your content creation process.
Available Models
- Claude 4 Sonnet - The gold standard/default for many creative writers
- GPT 5 - Very solid model, slow to respond initially but writes fast
- DeepSeek V3.1 - New default, exceptional for storytelling, sometimes has more hallucinations
- Gemini 2.5 Pro - Very good writing, potentially less hallucinations, but slower to respond)
- Grok v4 - Less restrictive for sensitive content such as politics, celebrities, etc
The notes above are purely anecdotal. Your experience with each model may vary.
How to Choose Your Model
- Visit the Settings page for your channel
- Find the model dropdown menu
- Select your preferred AI model from the options
Using Your Selected Model
Once you've chosen your preferred AI model in Channel Settings, Subscribr will automatically use this model whenever you:
- Generate a new outline in the script builder
- Create draft content for any section of your script
- Use the "Generate Draft" button for individual sections
- Request a complete outline and draft in one step
Your model selection applies to all new content generation but doesn't affect previously generated content. This gives you complete control over which AI brain powers your scriptwriting process.
Model Comparison
Each model has unique strengths. Here is my analysis - but I'd encourage you to make your own decision because it's impossible to study every single use case.
- Claude 3.7 Sonnet: Subscribr's original model with proven, balanced performance
- GPT-4o: Tends to generate scripts more quickly, and is rapidly improving in quality
- DeepSeek V3: Takes a bit longer but delivers exceptional quality, particularly for narrative and storytelling content
When to Switch Models
You can switch between models anytime, so feel free to experiment with each one to find which works best for your specific channel and content needs.
The next time you write an outline or generate draft content, Subscribr will automatically use your selected model.
