Software Walkthrough Videos

Subscribr has a lot of prompting in place to focus on a narrative script structure using YouTube best practices. For this reason, it isn't perfectly suited for creating walkthrough videos where the primary focus is on discussing specific features and flowing through usage of a tool.

However, if you'd like to give it a try, here are the best steps I can recommend when creating your script:

  1. For the initial Topic field, give lots of detail about the order you want the script to be structured
  2. Record audio/video of you walking through the software while talking out the process
  3. Upload the text transcript of your recording as a research source on the "Research" step
  4. Skip the Frame step, which adds a lot of narrative detail that could prevent the order from your Topic field from being fully utilized

The outline/structure you enter into the Topic field will be used to create an outline. Transcript will be used to properly understand and describe each of the product features. Together, they have a lot of influence over how the final script is created.
